“It has been a privilege to serve Baldwin County as your District 3 Commissioner, and I am blessed to be able to run for another term,” Dorsey said. “As we continue to grow, the Commission needs steady, strong, honest leadership managing your county government openly and efficiently with regional collaboration, while continuing to develop an environment for businesses to thrive and protecting the quality of life we all enjoy.”

Dorsey is a Class 24 graduate of Leadership Alabama and currently serves as regional co-chair for the organization. He was also selected as Interim Executive Director for the South Alabama Regional Planning Commission and is a member of the Mobile Chamber of Commerce, as well as all five Baldwin County Chambers of Commerce.

Dorsey also started the Red Text Foundation benefitting the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Boys Ranch.

Dorsey was recognized as #7 on the Yellow Hammer Top 20 Local Leaders for the State of Alabama in 2012 and 2016.

Dorsey is married to the former Susan Haynes of St. Simons Island, Georgia, and they have one son, Cyrus. The Dorsey family actively serves at 3Circle Church.
